Artwork from Elida students accepted for Columbus art exhibit

LIMA — Two Elida High School sophomores, Kylie Swallow and Sara Phipps, and junior Aubrey Vincent have artwork accepted to be shown during the annual Emerging Artists High School Exhibition in Columbus.

The exhibit was created to showcase artwork from Ohio students in grades nine through 12. The artwork is on display from Sept. 10 to Oct. 20, at the State Teacher’s Retirement Systems building, 275 E. Broad St., Columbus. A reception will be held at 2 p.m. at the STRS building Oct. 20, to celebrate the students with artwork on display and teachers.

The Ohio Art Education Association, the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio, sponsors the exhibit.
