COLUMBUS — Three area students will be recognized Feb. 2 in Columbus as winners of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Art, Essay and Multimedia Contest.
Arlington ninth-grader Paige Householder won in the art category. In the essay category, Bluffton eighth-grader Anna Knauss won, as did Cody Gaham, a junior from Vantage Career Center.
This year’s contest asked students how they embody the change they wish to see in the world, in the model of King and Mahatma Gandhi. OCRC received hundreds of entries, but only 15 entries were chosen as winners.
