LEIPSIC — Leipsic High School senior Victor Sanchez was recently nominated for the Monthly Character Award for his perseverance and determination.

Sanchez is well deserving of this award because of his involvement in the community, challenging himself with his course load, and being a role model, according to Leipsic Guidance Counselor Julie Recker in a news release.

Next year he plans to attend Bowling Green State University, which will make him the first person in his family to attend a four-year college.

“He has worked hard throughout his years of schooling to overcome his hardships,” Recker said in a news release. “He is always positive, hard-working, and respectful to all students and staff. I believe Victor is a perfect example of great character and hope you honor him with your monthly award.”
