Amstutz wins Boy Scouts president’s award

VAN WERT — Greg Amstutz, a long-time scouting veteran and adult leader, was recognized for his service to the Black Swamp Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Amstutz received the President’s Award for his work as scouting coordinator and committee chairman for Cub Scout Pack 31 and Scouts BSA Troop 31 in Van Wert County.

Amstutz has previously served as district unit commissioner, Webelos leader, scoutmaster and district chairman of the former Hawthorn District in Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties. He also was an Eagle Scout coordinator for the Old Sycamore District.
