Lima Memorial recognized for lung cancer efforts

LIMA — A lung cancer research foundation has recognized Lima Memorial Health System for its efforts to improve the lives of lung cancer patients.

The GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer designated Lima Memorial a Care Continuum Center for Excellence, a program which promotes standard of care lung cancer screening, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Cheryl Nagy, director of oncology services for Lima Memorial, said in a statement that the partnership will allow the Lima Memorial Cancer Institute to “deliver even more resources to support patients diagnosed with lung cancer and their families.”
