VAN WERT — Coldwater native Nathan Robinson is Van Wert County’s newest Ohio wildlife officer for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife.

Robinson, who was among 12 wildlife officer cadets sworn in during an Aug. 21 virtual ceremony, underwent 17 weeks of basic peace officer training and another eight weeks of specialized ODNR wildlife officer training before his graduation. He will continue his training in the field for the next six months.
