LIMA — Vocational agriculture instructor and Delphos-area farm lender Lloyd Smith and Spencerville farmer Sam Blythe will be inducted into the Allen County Agriculture Hall of Fame on July 16.
This is the eighth class to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, organized by the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s agri-business committee to recognize local farmers and individuals who work in agricultural-related fields.
“Both of our 2020 inductees truly reflect the award’s purpose of honoring and giving public recognition to those who have brought distinction to themselves, have made outstanding contributions to their professions and whose community involvement has served as a stimulus to others,” said Beth Seibert, the Chamber’s agri-business committee chair.
The Hall of Fame induction banquet will be held 6 p.m. July 10 at the City Club in Lima. Tickets are $15. Reservations are required by July 10. Visit limachamber.com or call 419-222-6045.
