LIMA — Watch Communications has acquired an Evansville, Ind.-based internet service provider, growing the Lima company’s subscriber base by more than 2,200 customers, the company announced this week.

The recently acquired Sit-CO network expands Watch Communication’s reach into Evansville and rural areas of southwestern Indiana.

Watch Communications President and CEO Chris Daniels said the acquisition “provides a solid baseline” for the Lima-based company to expand into unserved and underserved portions of southwest Indiana.

The Lima company was founded in 1992, offering wireless cable TV and internet in small and rural markets of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

Watch recently acquired Illinois internet service provider Beyond Media Network in the fall of 2019. The company has been engaged in several broadband connectivity projects with Microsoft and the Federal Communications Commission’s Connect America fund, with a focus on unserved and underserved markets in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
