Shawnee grad’s play coming to Beavercreek stage

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Theatre will perform Shawnee High School graduate Lisa Like-Stokely’s original play, “How Hans, Christian and Anderson melted the Snow Queen.”

The children’s play offers a modern-day twist on classic characters from Danish author Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, such as Thumbelina and the ugly duckling.

Performances will be held at Beavercreek Community Theatre, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Showtimes include 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6; 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7; 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8; 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13; 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Tickets are available from $5 to $15.
