LEIPSIC — Longtime Habitat for Humanity in Putnam County volunteer Ken Elchinger was honored last week for surpassing 1,000 volunteer hours with the agency.

The Habitat affiliate has built 11 new homes and repaired or rehabbed more than 20 homes since its founding in 2009.
