LIMA — Employees at the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 garages in Defiance and Allen counties won the district’s truck and loader roadeo, held in Lima on May 1.

The competition involves obstacles which mimic on-the-job encounters for ODOT road crews.

Equipment specialist Leon Goyings, who works in Lima, won the loader competition.

Chris Miles, of Defiance County, won the truck competition. Chris Lobsiger of Van Wert came in second place in the truck competition.

The Van Wert garage won the district team award, granted to the team with the top two combined scores in the truck and loader competitions.
