LIMA — Lima resident Taj Oladele Ashafa has published a memoir, “Achievement Through Adversity.”
The book tells of how Ashafa coped with disability after losing his right arm while serving as a combat soldier. He has since earned several degrees including an associate’s degree in health services, a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and a master’s in business administration, according to his biography.
“When I look back and think of all the difficulties and obstacles that I passed through, starting from my very young age and the success God has enabled me to achieve through those calamities, it amazes me,” Ashafa said in a press release. “Therefore, it is better to tell the good story to the world and encourage others that with God all things are possible.”
“Achievement Through Adversity” was published by Xlibris, a self-publishing company.
