FINDLAY — Zachary D. Gossard has been selected the 2018 trooper of the year for the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Findlay post.
Gossard, 25, was recognized by fellow officers for his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
Gossard, who now lives in Arlington, joined the highway patrol in 2014. The Harrod native graduated from Allen East High School. He graduated from Rhodes State College with an associate’s degree in business management.
He is now in contention for the district and state trooper of the year awards.
