LIMA — ArtSpace/Lima chose Sally Windle as its next executive director recently.
Windle served as director of the arts magnet programs at Lima schools since 2007. She’s been involved in arts education in the region for nearly four decades and also served as an adjunct professor at Ashland University.
She received her degree in art education from the University of Dayton in 1980 and her master’s degree in educational leadership, curriculum, administration and supervision in 2010.
Windle taught and volunteered with ArtSpace for more than 40 years. She’s a past president of the board of trustees for three years.
“We’re excited for the future of ArtSpace with Ms. Windle, and look forward to many wonderful community events, exhibits and educational opportunities in the near future,” board president Kathleen Phipps said in a press release.
Windle had been serving the group since Dr. William S. Sullivan resigned as operations manager in November. The Lima school board accepted Windle’s resignation last week.
