Bath Township firefighter completes ‘Blue Card’ training program

BATH TOWNSHIP — Crystal Plumpe, a platoon chief with the Bath Township Fire Department, recently completed “Blue Card Incident Command” certification training.

There are several complex elements of the Blue Card training and certification program.

Plumpe completed a 50-hour online training program and attended an intense two-day simulation evaluation session. Her certification is good for three years.

Her training fulfilled the Blue Card Hazard Zone Incident Command standards cognitive and knowledge based classroom requirements. The course was conducted in conjunction with the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association.

Plumpe joined the department in September of 2005.
