LIMA — The latest holiday following Black Friday, Credit Check Wednesday, will be celebrated for its third year at regional banks to help individuals check their credit ratings for free in order to identify potential inconsistencies in their scores.

Institutions participating this year include:

• Citizen’s National Bank (Bluffton)

• First Federal Bank (Delphos, Elida, Glandorf, Lima, Ottawa)

• First National Bank (Ottawa, Pandora)

• Superior Credit Union (Northland, Shawnee).

Participants will be asked provide photo identification and must be able to answer personally identifying information for the AnnualCreditReport.com system to function correctly. If an unknown credit account has been opened in your name, your financial institution or Crime Victim Services can help guide the recovery process.
