THE CUSTOMER

• Procter & Gamble serves approximately 5 billion people around the world with its brands.

• Surveys have found the biggest laundry challenges for customers are clothing brightness at 20.5 percent, stain removal at 20.5 percent, odor removal/freshness at 19.6 percent; and clothing whiteness at 17.9 percent.

WHAT A YEAR

• Ricky Rudd, driver of NASCAR’s popular Tide car, signed autographs for Lima employees and family members during its 30th anniversary celebration in Lima in 1998. Children were given toy Tide cars and Slinky toys with the P&G logo on them.

• 1998 also saw P&G become the biggest Ohio-based company with $19.3 billion in revenue. It was followed by Kroger, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., TRW Inc., and NCR Corp. of Dayton.

P&G TODAY

Keeping America clean involves more than 600 employees and more than 200 on-site contractors at the Lima P&G facilities.
