Bob Evans Farms holds ‘Heroes to CEOs’ grant contest

LIMA — Bob Evans Farms Inc. recently announced its annual grant-giving program, “Heroes to CEOs” will be open for applications until June 27.

Each submission will be judged by a panel based on the reason, feasibility, opportunity and future success of the business or plan submitted. The top 10 highest-scoring entrants will be qualified as finalists and will be judged again by a panel of celebrities.

The company will grant three winning veteran-owned businesses with $25,000 and an all-expenses-paid, three-day trip for two to New York City for a half-day mentoring session with Daymond John, founder and CEO of FUBU and ABC’s “Shark Tank” judge.

The grant contest is the largest veterans-only business grant and is open to veterans of all US military branches who own an independent registered business or have a plan for an independent business in the United States or the District of Columbia, according to a news release.
