LIMA — As apart of National EMS Week, Mercy Health-St. Rita’s recently honored EMS personnel for their work in the community during the annual EMS Banquet at the Lima Knights of Columbus Hall.
Doug Corwin with the Lima Fire Department was awarded the Greg King Award.
Louis Belluomini with the Putnam County EMS was awarded the Service Award.
LACP, Lima Fire Department and Delphos Fire Rescue were awarded the Cardiac Care Awards.
Bluffton EMS, Beaverdam-Richland Fire Rescue and Putnam County EMS were awarded the Stroke Care Awards.
Bluffton EMS, Bath Township Fire Department, Beaverdam-Richland Fire Rescue, Shawnee Township Fire Department, American Township Fire Department, Cridersville Fire Department and Lima Fire Department were awarded Trauma Care Awards.
“Fire and EMS providers protect and serve within all our communities each and every day,” said Brian Anderson, St. Rita’s EMS coordinator and manager of the Mercy Health Transport Communications Center, in a news release. “Many times, this service goes unnoticed to those of us who haven’t needed their emergency response. National EMS Week serves as a chance for all of us to recognize the service and dedication of all these individuals within our communities and throughout our country.”
