Bath Township platoon chiefs complete advanced training

LIMA — Two Bath Township Fire Department platoon chiefs completed training at the State Fire School at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green.

Platoon Chief Jared Jenkins completed a 60-hour Ohio Fire Instructor Course. This course covered principles of adult learning, communication, instructional methods, lesson plan development, assessment, NFPA 1403 live fire training practices and other components of the Ohio Department of Public Safety Instructor Course. He has been with the department since 2006.

Platoon Chief Crystal Plumpe attended a week-long course, “Incident Command Lab,” and learned to make decisions during computerized simulations. She participated as a member of the Incident Command Staff and rotated through various staff positions including Incident Commander. Plumpe has been with the department since 2005.
