AEP Ohio awards grant to Van Wert County Economic Development

VAN WERT — American Electric Power Ohio recently awarded Van Wert County Economic Development with the Local Economic Assistance Program grant.

The Van Wert County Economic Development received $5,000 as one of 15 economic development organizations in Ohio receiving grant money.

The grant will be used for projects, involving the promotion of economic development and equipment, such as business incubators and engineering and technology camps.

“By investing in new workforce and economic development programs locally, we hope to spur job creation and opportunities for the communities we serve,” said Tim Wells, manager of economic and business development for AEP Ohio, in a news release.
