LIMA — Miami Valley-area McDonald’s owners were recently awarded the highest McDonald’s honor, the Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award, and their restaurant manager earned the Ray Kroc Award.
Jeff and Mary Monfort own and operate six McDonald’s restaurants, including locations in Lima and Wapakoneta.
Marina Finn was recognized for being among the top 1 percent of restaurant managers in the country.
“To be recognized with 36 other McDonald’s owner/operators from around the world in this way is both humbling but exciting,” Jeff Monfort said in a news release. “It’s really a testament not to us, but to the grace of God and to our employees who passionately serve customers every day, and to our customers who trust us to deliver delicious food and beverages to them.”
“It’s hard to imagine, starting as crew all those decades ago, that we’d be honored in this way,” Mary Monfort said in a news release. “But this really shows the opportunity that McDonald’s can provide to build a career and a legacy in the communities we serve. It really is America’s best first job, and we’re living proof of that.”
