Brumbaugh elected first female president of area Boy Scout council

LIMA — Sherri Garner Brumbaugh was elected as the first female president of the Boy Scouts of America’s Black Swamp Area Council during its March 17 meeting.

She had been serving as the executive vice president of the council before being elected president. Brumbaugh has been a Boy Scout volunteer in different capacities, including den leader and committee chair for Troop 308 chartered to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Findlay.

She is President/CEO and owner of Garner Transportation Group.

Brumbaugh succeeds Mark Miller as area council president.
