ST. MARYS — Julie Jacobs, volunteer development coordinator for the Grand Lake Health System, has been awarded the credential of Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services by the Association for Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals of the American Hospital Association.
CAVS is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the field of volunteer management leaders in healthcare. To earn the designation, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree to adhere to the Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CAVS examination.
“Julie is the leader of volunteer services within our healthcare system,” said Linda Haines, executive director of the Joint Township District Hospital Foundation. “She recruits, develops and places volunteers in different areas, matching their strengths to a particular department or service. We are very proud of Julie for earning the prestigious CAVS Certification.”
