Haver honored by Ohio Parks and Recreation Association


LIMA — Kevin L. Haver, director for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District of Allen County, was selected as the 2017 Harvey Woods Lifetime Achievement Award by the Ohio Park and Recreation Association. Haver received the award at the association’s annual conference recently.

Haver has served the citizens of Allen County for 40 years. In that time, the park district has grown from two parks to 14, encompassing more than 1400 acres.

Haver is a lifelong resident of Allen County, a graduate of Perry High School, the Ohio State University and the Cleveland Ranger Academy.
