Paulding Putnam Electric members donate to local charities


PAULDING — Through the Operation Round Up program, members of Paulding Putnam Electric Co-op recently donated more than $11,500 to various organizations.

Operation Round Up allows its members to round their monthly electric bills to the next dollar, and the extra pennies are used to help fund local organizations or charities. Since 2010, the organization donated $360,361 to 124 organizations in Indiana and Ohio.

Putnam County Farm Safety, Paulding County Amateur Radio Club, Big Brother & Big Sister, Antwerp Local Schools, Southeast Indiana Cornerstone Youth Center, Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District and Niswonger Performing Arts Center were some of the recent recipients.
