Putnam County Sheriff’s Office employees are feted

OTTAWA — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office held its annual awards banquet this week to recognize employees who “have had outstanding job performance and have assisted in keeping the residents of Putnam County safe,” Sheriff Brian Siefker said.

Recognized were Sgt. Brad Nelson as deputy of the year; Deputy Bruce Meyers as corrections officer of the year; Todd Worchuck, as dispatcher of the year; and life saving awards for Heather Cole (dispatcher), Heather Verhoff (corrections), Timothy Kramer (corrections) and Theresa Korte (corrections).

Deputy Roy Sargent and administrative assistant Laura Huff were also recognized for their years of service to the sheriff’s department and their official retirements.
