Findlay ranked top Micropolitan Community in the U.S. for third year

FINDLAY — Findlay was ranked the top micropolitan community in the U.S. for the third consecutive year for new and expanding facilities by Site Selection magazine.

The magazine ranked 575 of the nation’s micropolitan areas, cities of 10,000 to 50,000 people which cover at least one county. Findlay is the second community in the history of the award to be the top micropolitan three years in a row.

The Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development Office completed and submitted 22 projects that met Site Selection’s qualifying criteria. Among those that qualified were Whirlepool’s 80,000-square foot plant expansion and Mennel Milling’s new 22,000-square foot headquarters in Fostoria.
