Who’s eligible?

•All adults and children age 5 years and older.

• There was one new death attributed to COVID-19 reported in Van Wert County, the region’s sole COVID-19 fatality reported in the last week, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

• Allen County ranked 52nd in Ohio’s per capita rate of new cases over the last two weeks, at 118.2 cases per 100,000 residents over the two-week period.

Community transmission in Allen County is now high. But Allen County still has low disease burden, as only 0.8% of inpatient hospital beds were in use by COVID-19 patients, according to the CDC.

• The region continues to see increased coronavirus activity. Van Wert saw 116.7 cases per 100,000 residents in the last two weeks, the 54th highest in Ohio, while Hardin County claimed the 57th highest per capita cases (114.8). Other local counties were in the bottom 20 in the state, including Auglaize (89.8) and Putnam (70.9).
