‘Mayor’s Spring Cleanup’ coming to Lima

LIMA — Lima residents will have multiple opportunities to rid themselves of accumulated trash and junk items during this year’s “Mayor’s Spring Cleanup.” During this event, large dumpster bins will be available at areas throughout the city to allow for trash and junk disposal.

The first date for this event will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14, with four dumpsites currently available: Forest Park United Methodist Church, 315 S. Collins Ave., Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center’s 751 W. Market St. building, Superior Credit Union, 1571 Allentown Road and the Housing and Neighborhood Department, 900 S. Collett St.

Other locations wishing to serve as a dumpster site can register until May 9. Other dates for the cleanup will be May 21, June 4 and June 11.
