Twenty-two new deaths reported in region
• There have been 22 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in the five-county region, according to the latest Ohio Department of Health data. Additionally, Allen County Public Health on Thursday reported 10 new deaths attributed to the disease that do not yet appear on the ODH dashboard, which is updated on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Those deaths include an 86-year-old woman and 57-year-old man who died Jan. 21; an 82-year-old woman and 70-year-old man who died Jan. 24; a 64-year-old woman and 62-year-old man who died Jan. 25; a 67-year-old man, 73-year-old woman and 81-year-old man who died Jan. 26; and a 78-year-old man who died Jan. 27.
• The Ohio Department of Health on Friday announced a new partnership with Project Access COVID Tests (Project ACT) to make rapid tests more readily available to Ohioans in traditionally underserved areas. Ohio is expected to receive 175,000 tests in its first allocation. Tests will be available through home delivery. Check accessCOVIDtests.org to determine eligibility.
