COLUMBUS — Alter Ego Comics of Lima was one of eight businesses spotlighted by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose in December.

Mark Bowker, owner of the comic-book store at 230 N. Main St., was honored with a certificate.

The businesses featured in the Ohio Business Spotlight have taken their passion for toys, books, bikes and more, and turned them into unique and magical shops for local community members to enjoy, according to a press release from LaRose’s office.

“As a father, spending quality time with my girls and patronizing locally owned toy shops during the holiday season is a tradition in our family,” LaRose stated. “My team and I work hard to help Ohio entrepreneurs turn their passion into a business, and the Ohio businesses that bring so much joy to countless children across the state this time of year should be celebrated.”
