COVID cases in K-12 schools, long-term care
• The Ohio Department of Health released its weekly update on coronavirus in K-12 schools and long-term care facilities.
In Allen County, Allen East, Delphos, Elida, Spencerville and St. Charles all reported one student case apiece; Spencerville reported one staff case; Apollo reported one student case; Bath reported three student and two staff cases; Lima reported two student and two staff cases; Perry reported three student cases; Shawnee reported five student cases; and Temple Christian reported one staff case.
In Auglaize County, New Bremen and New Knoxville schools each reported one new student case; St. Marys reported five student cases and Wapakoneta reported two student cases.
In Putnam County, Jennings, Miller City-New Cleveland, Ottawa-Glandorf and St. Anthony of Padua and Sts. Peter and Paul schools reported one new student case each; Columbus Grove reported four student cases and one staff case; Continental reported three student cases; Leipsic reported seven student cases; and Pandora-Gilboa reported two student cases.
• New cases in nursing homes and assisted living facilities were reported Wednesday. In Allen County, Liberty Retirement Community reported three new staff cases; Lima Manor reported four staff cases; Lochhaven reported one staff case; Mennonite Memorial Home reported two staff cases; Shawnee Manor reported one staff case; Springview Manor reported two staff cases; and Vancrest of Delphos reported three staff cases.
In Auglaize County, Auglaize Acres reported one resident case; Elmwood New Bremen and Grand Lake Healthcare Center nursing home each reported one staff case; Heritage Center for Rehab reported two resident and two staff cases; Otterbein St. Marys reported one staff case; Otterbein Cridersville reported five resident and three staff cases; and Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community reported one resident and one staff case.
In Putnam County, Hilty Memorial Home reported two staff cases; Meadows of Kalida reported one resident and one staff case; Meadows of Leipsic reported two resident and one staff case; and the Meadows of Ottawa reported nine resident and four staff cases.
