LIMA — The Lima Host Lion’s Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary a year late due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday night, the club hosted a dinner at the Old Barn Out Back to mark the occasion.
The history of the club and its community service were touted during the evening.
The guest speaker was Steve Thornton, Past International Director of Lions Clubs International.
There was also a tribute to veterans by the reading of war letters from former Lima Lion, Meredith Morris, who served out of the country in the European Theater of WWII.
The letters will be put on display at the Lauer Historical Farm.
