COLUMBUS — Molli Schleucher, a magistrate for the Van Wert Municipal Court, has been named as the recipient of the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under.
The award is given to attorneys who work to make a difference in their communities outside of their practice area and without compensation.
Schleucher is a graduate of Wilmington College and holds a Master’s in Public Administration degree from Wright State University, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University.
“Molli’s dedication to our community makes her a stand-out candidate for the award,” said Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Amy Ikerd, who nominated Schleucher. “Her commitment to her community shines through.”
Schleucher is an active member of the Mercer County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Women in Leadership of Western Ohio, the Mercer County House of Hope Board and the Van Wert Bar Association.
She organizes and hosts events for Christmas toy and clothing drives, volunteers for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, and serves on numerous community organization boards and committees. She also taught as an adjunct professor at Wright State University.
