LIMA — Allen County Public Health will hold off-site vaccination clinics from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays starting Friday, Oct. 8, in the former Elder-Beerman store at the Lima Mall, 2400 Elida Road, Lima.
First and second doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available, as well as single doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, Pfizer booster shots and flu vaccines. Anyone who has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine should bring their vaccination card.
Appointments are encouraged and may be made online at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov or by calling 419-228-4636. Please use the east doors of the mall across from the car dealership on North Cable Road.
Booster shots are only available for adults 65 and older or adults at higher risk for severe COVID-19 who finished their Pfizer vaccine course at least six months ago, as well as immunocompromised individuals who received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine initially. The CDC and FDA are expected to consider boosters for Johnson & Johnson and Moderna recipients later this month.
