LIMA — The Allen County RTA is reducing service hours, beginning Oct. 4, due to a shortage of drivers.
According to a news release from RTA, Routes 1, 2, 3 and 6 will end at 6:45 p.m. instead of 9:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. Routes 4 and 5 will end at 7:15 p.m. instead of 10:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Up-Lift hours will also end at 7:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours will remain the same for Saturday.
The changes are needed due to a “number of factors,” including relieving the shortage of drivers.
The RTA is currently seeking bus drivers with a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
They will, however, train the right candidates to help them obtain their Class B CDL licenses.
