Ada teacher dies, counselors available Monday

ADA — Counselors will be standing by at Ada schools on Monday after news surfaced over the weekend concerning the death of teacher Bill Faine.

The school district announced Sunday that “Saturday we tragically lost a valued staff member and beloved teacher, Mr. Bill Faine. Mr. Faine left a lasting impression on our school and community. He was a beloved staff member who had a strong faith in God and will be greatly missed. In response to this devastating loss, counseling and support services will be on site starting Monday for students and staff.”

The family released a statement through the school “Bill really enjoyed all his classes. Going to school every day to help his students in their ‘community’ was one of his greatest joys. So remember, ‘Put a smile on your face and make something special of it.’”
