NEW DEATHS REPORTED IN REGION

There were new deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the region.

Allen County Public Health reported it had three new deaths confirmed to be from COVID-19 in the past week, including a 68-year-old female on Aug. 27, a 40-year-old female Wednesday and a 64-year-old male Thursday. Those deaths aren’t yet reflected in numbers from the Ohio Department of Health.

The ODH numbers do include one death in Van Wert County. The newest death there was a woman in her 70s who died Sunday.

• Allen County Public Health will hold two pop-up vaccine clinics on Wednesday. One is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Robb Park, 700 W. Robb Ave., Lima; and the other is 4 to 6 p.m. at Heritage Elementary School, 816 College Ave., Lima. Anyone receiving their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine will receive a $100 Visa gift card. Participants should make an appointment through gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.
