Fort Jennings students advance to national enviornmental competition

FORT JENNINGS — A team of students from Fort Jennings High School were named the champions of the Ohio State Envirothon competition. The team placed first in the oral presentation and claimed the top score on the soils test. A second team from Fort Jennings finished second in the oral presentation.

This is the second state championship for Fort Jennings, which advanced to nationals in 2018.

Eric Wieging, Brooke Hellman, Nathan Sealts, Nick Wurst and Jake Wurst will advance to nationals. Other Fort Jennings students who participated in the state competition include Jon Grote, Carley Vonsossan, Reagan Ricker, Elizabeth Meyer and Mason German, who placed second in the oral competition.
