Early-morning shooting leaves Lima man injured

LIMA — An early-morning shooting in Lima has left one man with non-life threatening gunshot wounds and police seeking to learn the identity of his attacker.

According to a statement from the Lima Police Department, patrol officers were at approximately 1:46 a.m. Monday observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at the intersection of Charles and North streets. Officers followed the vehicle to the emergency room entrance at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. They learned a passenger inside the vehicle, 27-year-old Ryan Knuckles, had been shot.

Knuckles was treated at the hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Officers learned the shooting took place in the 700 block of South Pine Street but the identity of the suspect is not known at this time.
