May 17

Phillip D. Baney, 56, 512 Orchard St., Lot 12, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. July 1. Charges of breaking and entering and theft were dismissed.

May 19

Larry J. Burkhart, 76, Cloverdale, was found guilty of three counts rape and six counts of gross sexual imposition by Putnam County Common Pleas Court Judge Keith Schierloh following a two-day trial. The charges stemmed from alleged sexual activity with two young girls — identified by the State as Jane Does — beginning, at the earliest, in May of 20017 and continuing through October of 2019, according to the indictment. Sentencing and sexual classification registration is set for 10 a.m. June 4.

Travis M. Hundley, Kalida, was granted a divorce against Tiffani A. Hundley, Kalida. They were married Aug. 21, 1999, in Kalida and have three children.

May 13

Bryant S. Trenkamp, 32, 18998 Road I-18, Continental, pleaded no contest to hit/skip realty property and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $625 suspended, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP and pay restitution of $4,407.21.

Joseph D. Chiow, 20, 517 E. Lima St., Findlay, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. He was fined $50 for speeding. Charges of driving without a valid license and OVI were dismissed.

May 14

Jeremi M. Turner, 31, 3002 Eastbrook Blvd., Apt. 6, Jeffersonville, Ind., pleaded guilty to improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $250 fine.

May 18

Daniel J. Baker, 39, 1031 Middle St., Springfield, pleaded guilty to violating protection order. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $250 fine.
