Transparency in court races gets Ohio Senate approval


COLUMBUS — A bill has passed the Ohio Senate that would increase transparency and encourage voter participation in judicial elections by requiring party affiliation be listed for judges on a general election ballot.

“We are the only state in the union who operates in this way,” said Senate president Matt Huffman, R-Lima.
