LIMA — A Lima man is in custody after a domestic dispute that lead to a four-hour standoff with Lima police early Sunday.
At about 10 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to 310 N. Woodlawn Ave. in reference to a domestic dispute and possibly a barricaded subject, according to a news release from the Lima Police Department.
William Holbrook, 74, who lives at the address was alleged to have assaulted his wife of 32 years and refused to come out of the house.
Members of the Lima Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded.
At 2 p.m. the teams executed a search warrant and ended the situation successfully.
Holbrook is being held on suspicion of felonious assault at the Allen County Jail.
