LIMA – Police have a suspect in custody in connection with the stabbing of a Lima man at a city motel earlier this week.
Officers from the Lima Police Department responded early Thursday morning to Room 109 at the Imperial Inn, 131 E. North St., in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival officers learned that Percy Huffman, 58, had been stabbed multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
After a brief investigation, Earnest J. Fair, 58, was identified as the suspect in connection with the incident. Third-shift officers located Fair and took him into custody without incident. He was charged with felonious assault and was scheduled for an arraignment hearing Friday.
