Who’s eligible?

• Anyone age 50 or older

• Adults who work in law enforcement, day care settings or funeral services

• Pregnant women

• Adults with certain medial conditions, including end-stage renal disease, ALS, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, bone marrow transplant recipients, solid organ transplant recipients, sickle cell anemia, Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, rare metabolic disorders like phenylketonuria and Tay-Sachs, epilepsy and severe neurological disorders, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willis syndrome, fragile X syndrome and severe genetic disorders, severe asthma, Alpha and beta thalassemia, and severe heart defects requiring specialized medical care.

The Ohio Senate has passed SB 108 and SB 110 which provides state and federal funding to businesses and other entities across Ohio for COVID-19 pandemic-related expenses.

The bills provide $125 million to bars, restaurants and lodging businesses, $465 million to help Ohioans struggling to pay rent and utilities during the pandemic, $150 million for small businesses who have already been approved for aid but have yet to receive funding due to lack of program funding, $20 million for indoor entertainment businesses who lost revenue due to canceled events and closures, $10 million for new businesses that opened their doors after Jan. 1, 2020 and $120 million for Ohio’s fairs, veterans homes and child care services.

The bills now go to the Ohio House of Representatives for consideration.
