CRIME STOPPERS – CRIME OF THE WEEK
On Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kohl’s located at 2750 Elida Rd, in reference to glass break and motion detection inside the business. Upon deputies arrival they observed broken glass in front of the business.
After the business was cleared employees discovered jewelry missing along with cologne and perfume. Detectives responded to the area to process the scene. Throughout their investigation, Detectives tracked footprints for approximately half-mile crossing over waterways and open fields when they eventually located a black bag believed to be used in the crime. The bag was taken into evidence and inventoried. Inside the bag, they discovered merchandise from the business that estimated to the total of $26,000.
