PUTNAM, VAN WERT COUNTIES NOW LEVEL 2
Two more area counties were downgraded from Level 3 public emergencies to Level 2 public emergencies Thursday.
The Ohio Public Health Advisory System now lists Putnam and Van Wert counties as Level 2, showing increased exposure and spread. They join Allen, Auglaize and Mercer counties, which moved down from orange to red levels last week. Their per capita rates dropped below the high-incidence threshold of 100 cases per 100,000 population.
Hardin County remains in Level 3 (red), showing very high exposure and spread.
• The state also released weekly updated information on cases in schools. In Allen County, Elida schools had two new student cases, and Apollo Career Center and Lima schools had one new student case each. There were no new staff cases.
In Auglaize County and Putnam County, there were no new student or staff cases.
• The state also updated its statistics for long-term care facilities for the week. In Allen County, CSRI-Chesterton Home had three new resident cases. CSRI-Pine Home had two new resident cases. CareCore at Lima and Wyngate Senior Community each had one new resident case. Elmcroft of Lima had two new staff cases. Burton’s Ridge Assisted Living had one new staff case.
In Auglaize County, Cridersville Healthcare Center had one new staff case. There were no new resident or staff cases in Putnam County.
