LIMA — Ongoing snowfall left many roadways snow- or ice-covered, with possible drifting, leading area law enforcement to issue roadway advisories.
Allen County Sheriff Matt Treglia issued a Level 2 roadway advisory, effective 6 p.m. Monday.
Putnam County Sheriff Brian Siefker issued a Level 2 roadway advisory, effective 6 p.m. Monday.
Auglaize County Sheriff Michael Vorhees issued a Level 2 snow emergency at 6 p.m. Monday.
Drivers were urged that conditions were hazardous, and extreme caution is advised.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect through 1 p.m. Tuesday. Snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches are possible, with winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Light snow could continue through the day, with the heaviest snow is expected late this afternoon into the evening. There could be sub-zero wind chills.
