GoFundMe page established for family of Bluffton boy who died in snowmobile mishap

BLUFFTON — A teacher in the Bluffton school district has started a fundraiser for the family of a sixth-grader killed in a snowmobile accident.

Christine McCafferty created a fundraiser to help support the family of Ethan Leiber, a middle school student who died Sunday in a snowmobile accident near Bluffton.

“Ethan loved to help people and had a smile that could cheer anyone up,” McCafferty wrote on the GoFundMe fundraiser. “This is the Student Senate’s way of honoring this sweet boy.”

It started with a goal of raising $2,000 and already surpassed that by 1:30 p.m. Thursday. To view the GoFundMe, visit j.mp/3oKph0F.
